EDMMax 1000RS Abrasive Ring Saw
Description
The Abrasive Ring Saw uses a continuous ring of PCD diamond plated to the steel blade. The blade length is determined by the size of the saw model. The blade sizes are from .6 - 1.2mm diameter and feed in only one direction. Feed rates are 30-40 meters per second. Since the blade is a continuous loop, the ring saws can only cut on the outside of the parts as the blade cannot be split. Operating cost is about $1.00/hr. on the material being cut. Typical materials are composites, graphite, SIC, ceramic, G10, magnetic materials and most everything an EDM will not cut. Dust connection is by vacuum, oil or water.
The machine cutting envelopes range from 630 x 500 x 500mm (24.8" x 19.7" x 19.7") up to 2500 x 1250 x 600 mm (98.4" x 49.2" x 23.6") in size.
