EDMMax 1800S Abrasive Reciprocating Saw
Description
The Abrasive Saw is a full 2 Axis CNC Machine Center that utilizes a diamond coated steel wire that can cut various materials such as composites, graphite, ceramic, glass, stone and most any non-metallic materials. The diamond plated wires range in size from .18 mm up to
.38 mm (.007" - .015"). The machine cutting envelopes range from 450 x 350 x 4000 mm
(17.7" x 13.8" x 15.7") up to 1000 x 800 x 500 mm (39.3" x 31.5" x 19.7") in size.
The economical diamond wire is sold in 2000-meter rolls and the machine uses about 200 meters per load and this 200-meter spool of wire is continuously reciprocated during the cutting process. The average life of the 200 meters is from 50-100 hours or longer, depending on the material being cut, but the average cost per hour can be from $.50 to about $1.00/hr. - a very economical cutting tool! Vacuum dust collection or water filtration are optional.
Download DXF files through the USB or LAN ports or utilize the on-board CAD system that comes with the machine. On-site set up and training is included at your shop. The Diamond Abrasive Saw is an economical way to cut composites, graphite and most every non-conductive material that cannot be cut by EDM.
