EDMMax 654S Abrasive Reciprocating Saw
Description
The Reciprocating Abrasive Saw uses a PCD Diamond plated steel saw blade approximately 150 meters long that is attached to a drum on both ends. It feeds first top to bottom, then as it reaches the end of the steel blade, the drum briefly pauses, then reverses direction and goes until it reaches the other end of the wire and continues until finished. The blade moves approximately 3-4 meters per second. The steel wire can be threaded through the inside of a shape for an internal dimension. It can also cut external dimensions. Manual threading is required. Saw blades range in diameter from .2 - .37mm (.008" - .015"). Operating cost is about $1.00/hr. depending on materials being cut. Typical materials are composites, graphite, SIC, ceramic, G10, magnetic materials, most everything an EDM will not cut.
The machine cutting envelopes range from 450 x 350 x 400mm (17.7" x 13.8" x 15.7") up to 1000 x 800 x 500 mm (39.4" x 31.5" x 19.7") in size.
Installation and on-site training are included.
