In addition to small hole EDM drilling, the CHMER CNC EDMs offer an optional software package that allows for 3D shape machining using G-codes. The electrode tube is used like an end mill in conventional machining, running off standard G-codes and constantly compensating for end wear to cut shapes as shown here. These are in addition to the drilling cycle.
